]]> Yandy Smith and Mendeecees Harris tied the knot at a special Brooklyn venue on Memorial Day, May 25, 2015. The nuptials were televised in a VH1 Television Special. Yandy wore a $25,000 beaded tulle gown by Pnina Tornai, nicknamed the Bling Princess. VH1 viewers chose the dress by tweeting their choice from among two stunning gowns. Fans did not choose the $25,000 satin ball gown, she called the royal queen gown. Big Tigger, one of the hosts of the wedding special revealed that Yandy spent about $90,000 on wedding bling.

Anyone who had been watching the short video updates on VH1 knew that Yandy had been stressed out about finding a venue for her wedding. She had just a little time to find a place.

Here’s Where Yandy and Mendeecees were Married

Yandy chose Weylin B. Seymour’s at Broadway and Driggs Avenue in Brooklyn. The historic building is the former home of the Williamsburgh Savings Bank which opened in 1875. The building was restored to its current splendor. Weylin B. Seymour’s iconic dome, magical marble floors and exquisite architecture made it the perfect place for a star-studded wedding.

Speaking of star studded guests, Yandy’s guest list included Renee Graziano and Karen Gravano from the Mob Wives, Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker from the Real Housewives of Atlanta, Ceasar and Dutchess from Black Ink, Singer and Reality TV Star (Love and Hip Hop Atlanta and New York) K. Michelle, who sung at the wedding, Kirk and Rasheeda from Love and Hip Hop Atlanta, Ray J. and Princess from Love and Hip Hop Hollywood, Joseline and Stevie J. from Love and Hip Hop Atlanta (Stevie was one of the hosts) Rich Dollaz and Moniece; Tara Wallace and Peter Gunz, from Love and Hip Hop New York and more. Their invitation was simply beautiful. Notice that Yandy’s name is printed in an elaborate script, and Mendeecee’s name is printed in a simple, more masculine, boxy type.

Yandy wanted her wedding to look like the Garden of Eden. It looked like a beautiful fantasy.

Yandy’s bridesmaids were lovely.

Every woman can recall at least that one sister—from birth or from another mother—who has been there to listen to her frustrations over a relationship, her aggravation over a job, her devastation over a loss, and her infuriation over being done wrong. And she can recall that sister railing with her over her man and then getting real to show her where she went wrong. She can recall the friend telling her to look for another job, to find something that will make her happy and keep her living well. She can recall sistergirl sharing tissues with her as they both cry over the emptiness she feels at having lost someone. She can recall sistergirl saying, “OK, where’s my Vaseline and sneakers?” when it time to go blow for blow or toe to toe on her behalf. You women are that for me. It looks like Yandy did have to worry about having a problem with her bridesmaid’s dresses. They looked fabulous.

]]> In the Season 5 episode of Love & Hip Hop New York that aired on March 2, Amina Buddafly finally left Peter Gunz and took her baby daughter to Hamburg, Germany to escape some of the madness.Peter decided that he wants life with Amina and took a flight from New York to Hamburg.

Amina was surprised to see Peter show up at her sister’s apartment. She showed him around Hamburg and listen to him beg her to come back into his life. Amina’s mother never met Peter before, but from hearing her daughter’s stories about his atrocious behavior didn’t exactly make her sympathetic to Peter Gunz.

She did’t want her daughter to have anything to do with him. Amina didn’t make a final decision about Peter in this episode, although she rightfully wants her daughter to have her father in her life.

Anyway, in honor of the Love & Hip Hop New York drama that made its way to Hamburg, Germany, here’s a look at Amina’s hometown.

]]> In Season 5 of Love and Hip Hop New York, Erica Mena has been plugging her clothing line, HER.  The line began as a joint effort between Erica and her former girlfriend Cyn Santana (at least that’s the story from the reality TV show).  After Cyn revealed that she didn’t know much about the income from the clothing line, and she found out that it was bringing in about $30,000 a month, Love & Hip Hop New York fans were probably wondering if the clothing line is really that hot.

If you’ve never heard of the clothing line that Erica Mena talked about on LHHNY,  I’m here to say that Erica does have a branded clothing line called HER, and the line does contain wearable fashions, not the runway couture clothing that you usually won’t see on the street. Her line is purely urban, and definitely sexy, but not so sexy that you’d be ashamed to wear it out.

The line includes tube tops, a t-shirt (You Can’t Handle My Mouth), a fitted hoodie and skirt set, a sexy dress, and crop tops. The tops in the Erica Mena line range between about $25 to $30. The hoodies are $50, while the two-piece hoodie and skirt set is $60. Many of the items in the line are branded with the HER logo.

According to her biography, Erica began her clothing line at the end of 2013 because fans seemed to be interested in her fashion sense. The pieces in the line are ultra-casual, with the exception of the sole dress in the line. All of the pieces look comfortable and cute. Perhaps more importantly, the prices are doable for the average person. The clothes aren’t extremely unique-looking, but they are attractive. If you have not done so already, you should take a look at what Ms. Erica Mena has to offer on her HER website.
