Just before Stevie Baggs made his decision on who to cut from the show, his mother Lola came on the bridge to intervene during the Match Made in Heaven episode that aired at 10 p.m. Eastern on June 23, 2016 on WE tv.

“I’m sorry to interrupt, but I’ve had my reservations about you. This man has come to your rescue every time,” she said to Sincerely. Apparently Stevie always told his mother that he didn’t care about her advice (against choosing Sincerely) because he really liked Sincerely and had chemistry with her.

Lola asked Sincerely if she was in the arms of another man, while her son was away from the Match Made in Heaven house, and Sincerely said that it didn’t happen. Too bad that Stevie saw the video of Sincerely getting close to guys in the club. Sincerely had claimed that she kept other men at bay at the club, but she was seen dancing on one man, unbuttoning the shirt of another and talking up close to a third.

This Match Made in Heaven episode was all about mother-daughter relationships, and finding love with Stevie, of course. Sherri Shepherd surprised the women with visits from their mothers. Kimmy’s parents weren’t able to come, however. After they settled in with their mothers, the women went to the church on the property and the bachelorettes wrote marriage vows, which they read to Stevie.

Next, the women and their mothers cooked together. The women shared the large kitchen together. And everything went well until Christina’s bread pudding began burning.  Christina and her mother were not around. The mother and daughter duo had ditched the kitchen and were chatting in their room as the bread pudding burned. The other women smelled the smoke and handled the situation. “I’m over this,” Christina’s mother said just before they left the kitchen.

“You want me to go cook, really? Cooking. I don’t like cooking. You cook, Christina’s mother said.

So, Stevie invited MacKenzie out for a date to make up for her sabotaged date.

I really want to give MacKenzie a shot at our date because it was sabotaged, and we deserve some time together alone to see if our chemistry really, truly matches.

MacKenzie planned to tell Stevie that she was once obese, over 300 pounds at one point in her life. She shared her story, and Stevie was truly touched. He was concerned that if they became married she would one day lose her confidence in herself.

Lola wondered why Christina and her mother had been disappearing all night, and they weren’t with the other women at the family dinner.

“The two of them keep disappearing and then reappearing, and when they reappear, you could feel the negative energy off of both them,” Lola said. “I don’t know what’s going on, but I want to find out.”

“I’m going home as soon as possible, hopefully tonight. The accommodations for me are totally unacceptable,” Christina’s mother explained. “I didn’t ask for a king-sized plush. I didn’t. Give us a little more comfort, not a prison-type mattress.”

Karmen, Elle’s mom, suggested that Christine should go home with her mom. “Both of you all should go home,” she said.

Then Lola said in her confessional that she was “really concerned about having in-laws who are that sensitive.”

Christina’s mom left that night.

Lola and Stevie then had brunch with each of the five women and their mothers. Lola actually told Kimmy that she wanted to have an African American daughter-in-law, and she questioned Kimmy about why her parents didn’t come on the show. Lola felt they didn’t come because Stevie and his mother are African American, but Kimmy insisted that her parents were open to her dating or marrying outside of her race. Kimmy let it be known that she wants to marry Stevie, not his mother, so Lola’s opinion wasn’t a deal-breaker.

Christina, MacKenzie, Elle, Roxie, and Kimberly all met Stevie for a talk. Two of the women were going home that night. Stevie sent MacKenzie home. He said that what she revealed to him, connected them for life, but he wasn’t sure if it was enough for them to move on in their relationship.

Elle was sent home, because Stevie didn’t think that they had a strong enough connection. He questioned their spirituality.

Roxie was the only woman who had not kissed Stevie. He wondered if she wanted to kiss him.

That was good enough for Stevie.

So, Christina, Roxie and Kimberly are in the final three

On Match Made in Heaven, Elle had an out-of-town date in Atlanta with Stevie. She accompanied him to a charity event for the Ceta Youth Foundation, an organization that he runs to empower and help keep children fit.

Lola loved to see Elle engaging with a young child who got an Easy Bake oven at the event. The scene reminded Lola of her own childhood, and how she would have loved to have someone like Elle to spend time with her.

Stevie took Elle to his café, Dream Café in Atlanta. Guests can write their dreams on the wall and return to reflect on how far they’ve come.

Match Made from Heaven gives contestants different scenarios or choices to test their morals. This week’s temptation was based on character. While Stevie was away, they got a temptation. They went to the club. The women had to be on their best behavior when they thought that no one was looking, but a few of them showed a side of themselves that Stevie wouldn’t like.

Elle returned from the date. Ms. Lola really liked Elle because she felt that she and Elle had a lot in common. So, Lola was all in for Elle.

Medgie and Elle got into it. Medgie was screaming that she would drag her after Elle put her hand in her face.

Stevie had a workout date with Kimmy. They had a fun time with Stevie showing Kimmy some moves in the gym. Then they had a pool a romantic time in the pool.

But Stevie’s happy mood turned sour when he saw the disappointing footage from the night the women had at the club.

Medgie, Sincerely and Roxie were summoned over the bridge to have a conversation with Stevie. Lola was praying the Sincerely be sent home at this point.

Medgie was twerking on a guy, taking a shot off of a guy and a woman in the club. Stevie said that he couldn’t have it in the back of his mind that his wife was letting loose to the extent that she was letting lose. Before Medgie left, she caught Elle off-guard and Medgie mushed Elle  in the head. Elle didn’t retaliate.

“I expected her to act like an animal, and that she did,” Elle said.

In the video, Sincerely was Eskimo kissing a guy, exchanging contact information or something with two guys.

Next, Sincerely tried to defend herself, by saying that she is social and people are naturally drawn to her, but it wasn’t looking good for her. Suddenly, Lola showed up on the bridge to intervene. What happens next will be shown on the next episode of the show.
