The Shahs of Sunset crew decided to have a getaway to relax and wind down in the episode, Can You Belize it or Not? It aired at 8 p.m. on June 19, 2016. Reza Farahan wanted to include Mike Shouhed and Jessica Parido in the vacation, so they could smooth over their marital problems, because it was a huge red flag when a couple who is trying to work things out, screams at each other in public.

Reza felt that it would do Mike and Jessica a lot of good if they went on a trip where they could disconnect a little from the outside world.

Reza stopped by the Aroma Bakery Café to invite Jessica to Belize, but before he spoke with her, he called Mike to tell him his intentions. Mike was not too happy about this turn of events.

Jessica revealed that she didn’t think that she would go back to Mike, because he cheated on her. Until she could move on from that in her mind, she couldn’t move back home. This was news to Reza, and he said that he didn’t know that Mike cheated, but he did know that Mike sometimes missed being a lady’s man.

Although Golnesa Gharachedaghi told everyone that she was getting chemo, she was actually just getting her blood drawn at the doctor’s office. Although there was no doubt that she had RA, there was some doubt as to which stage it was at.

They took a tiny plane into Belize, and Reza had a fit. He said that he felt as though he was in the middle of a revolution, because the flight was so bumpy. The plane was so small that he could clearly see the pilot in the front of the plane as he held on for dear life in the rear of the plane.

The crew flew into the KA’ANA Boutique Resort. The property offers villas in the jungle. Reza, Asa, and Mike shared a Villa.  MJ still had hope for salvaging her relationship with Tommy, but she was afraid that she had ruined it.

They settled in at the resort with some Ceviche. Golnesa should up with her cousin Nima Rejat. She decided to take a separate flight, because she was still so angry that people had been talking about her.

Golnesa had a talk with Reza. She said that she was hurt because she opened up to Reza about her rheumatoid arthritis (RA) and he didn’t seem to believe her. She poured out her heart to him, and told him that she didn’t want to be the girl who pops off. She admitted that she took a flight alone, because she needed a moment by herself. In the end, she invited Reza to go with her to her chemo treatment, because she said that she found out from her test results that she did need to get that treatment.

MJ just kept trying to call Tommy, but he wouldn’t answer. She was frustrated and upset, because she was starting to think that he didn’t want to get back together with her.

Later that night at dinner, the Shahs of Sunset group decided to go around the table and confess one thing. They began talking about masturbation, but Golnesa’s cousin had a confession about GG. He said that he was going to stop enabling her. Nima admitted that instead of drinking and smoking with GG, he should encourage her to be healthier. Shervin and everyone else agreed with him. Then Shervin and Golnesa argued, mostly because Golnesa was angry that he said anything to doubt anything related to her RA.

Reza’s conclusion: The GG camping intervention trip didn’t work and GG was back in her old ways.
