Technically, the Bronner Brothers International Beauty is a trade show, because it allows people in the beauty industry to show off their products and services. The trade show also includes an educational component, entertainment, and a hair battle. Unlike other trade shows in which you get brownie points for looking professional, having gorgeous hair and makeup will get you nods of approval at this show.

Thousands of consumers attend the hair show to see the latest glamorous  beauty products and the newest styles. So, the Bronner Brothers International Beauty Show is not an average trade show with people wearing suits selling technology or cars. This is a sexy trade show with both consumers and the beauty professionals glammed-up to the hilt.

Are you traveling to this trade show or a similar trade show or fashion show soon? Prepare your wardrobe. Find the right shoes, and get your make-up on fleek! As an example, here is my look for the Bronner Brothers show. It’s also suitable for festivals or concerts. Glam your look up a little more for evening events.  To add a little more glamour, I’d add a little more black shadow to the eyes. I’d add a little more gold, and use longer lashes for a more dramatic evening look.

Bronner Brothers Hair Show Make-Up Tutorial for Beginners

By the way, I like this look because it uses only one eye shadow palette, Maybelline, the Nudes. The following make-up tutorial is great for beginners, because you won’t have to try to find a lot of different expensive eye shadows from different brands. You can use your own foundation routine, or use the one that I have demonstrated. The best thing about the Maybelline, The Nudes eye shadow palette is that it’s reasonably priced. You can also find this shadow in many drug stores. It seems to be a regular product, not a special that’s only around for the holidays.

The Bronner Brothers International Hair Show was in Atlanta from August 4 to 6th, and I was in the house at the Georgia World Congress Center on Sunday for the Super hero contest and the finale team barbering competition. The hair shows were amazing, and the exhibitions were fun to see.

This year’s show had 300 vendors and 100 classes, a comedy show, a concert, and several hair battles. About 30,000 people usually attend the event. As far as celebrities are concerned, I saw Just Brittany, Remy Ma, Papoose, and Dwight Eubanks (Real Housewives of Atlanta).

Just Brittany is a musical artist with hits like Mama Should’ve Told Me,  That’s My Sis, and more. I’ve watched her on the reality TV shows Love and Hip Hop Atlanta and Signed (she was Rick Ross’ protege).

What was it really like? It was hype.  It was loud, full of bustling people. Sometimes the stylists or models would parade through the conference room chanting, dancing or posing. So, that made the trade show an entertaining for a non-stylist. If you like to shop, you’ll see a lot of products to buy, not just hair products. T-shirts with sassy expressions, shoes, and clothes were for sale at a few of the booths.

Models with fabulous costumes and hair walked through the convention area. Visitors often asked them to pose for photographs, which helped market the stylists and salons.

The figure on the top of her head is made of hair. This look took the stylists hours and hours of work.

Easy Tips for Attending the Bronner Brothers International Hair Show

This was my first time attending the hair show, and I learned a few handy tips that made it easy to get there. It was easy register for the hair show online. Just be sure to keep the QC code that you receive safe. I had mine saved on my phone, and I had it ready to show the attendant when I reached the counter. There was no line on Sunday; the show actually started on Saturday and continued through Monday.

Bright colors and shades of blonde were an important component of many of the looks seen at the hair show.

Parking at the Bronner Brothers Hairshow in Atlanta

Parking could have been a hassel had I not read the parking information on the Bronner Brothers site. First of all, the Gold Parking is the closest to the C Building of the Georgia World Congress Center (where the events were held). This parking garage is literally right next to the C Building. If you pre-order your parking space before your arrive, you’ll receive a reservation through e-mail.

Parking was about $15, and I printed the reservation (which had another QC code for an attendant to scan). When I arrived to the Georgia World Congress Center, I presented my print-out. The parking deck attendant seemed relieved. She scanned my QC code, and I parked in an empty spot. Pre-paying for parking reserved my space and eliminated my apprehension of finding a parking space.  Locating the correct parking deck was a bit challenging since my GPS steered me  to the wrong  side of the road.  I ended up having to turn around. Other decks are a short walk to Building C, but you’ll be very happy if you reserve the Gold Parking Deck. There are no streets to cross. You merely walk next door.

What to Wear to the Bronner Brothers Hair Show in Atlanta

The hair show is held in Atlanta twice a year. I attended in the summer and it was hot, but it was chilly inside the Georgia World Congress Center. I wish that brought my matching jacket, especially for the night time events. Most of the ladies were wearing jeans and shorts. Dress comfortably. A lot of women wore sandals, but I wore some cute sneakers (and I was glad that I did). There was a lot of walking back and forth through that convention center.

If you can go back to your hotel and change, wear something that’s very casual for the daytime events, and you might want to change it up for the evening events. These events are still very casual. You can wear shorts, or jeans or whatever, but I recommend that you at least bring a light sweater or matching jacket. It might be hot and humid outside, but it could possibly be downright chilly inside.

Try these styles for medium to long dreadlocks; styles with curls are cute for any occasion and here are a couple of looks that will stay put. This curly locs style is really two styles in one, and together they last for at least two weeks.

How are these loc curls created? They are created using pipecleaners. The great thing about pipecleaners is that you can leave them in your hair and create an adorable style.

Things You Will Need

1. Lottabody Setting Lotion
2. Mango and Lime Twisting Gel for Resistant Hair
3. Gel
4. Pipecleaners

1. Wash or Simply Wet Your Hair

First, you either need to wash your hair or get it thoroughly wet.  Your hair should be dripping wet, because the style is a wet set style on dreadlocks.

2. Add Products to Your Hair

Apply the Lotta Body and the other products on a wet loc. It might be easier to put this product  in a clean spray bottle. You’ll have to combine about one part of the Lotta Body with two parts water. I use about half water and half Lotta Body.

You should then add the gel on that loc. I take about a quarter amount of the gel and slather it onto my wet loc.

3. Install the Pipe Cleaners

Roll your hair around the pipe cleaner. Be careful of the sharp edges. You might want to fold the sharp edge down or use heavy duty tape to cover it. Once your hair is rolled onto the pipe cleaner, fold the pipecleaner around the loc, just as you’d do for flexible rods. You can put two, three, or more locs on your pipecleaner. Keep in mind that the more hair you use the looser your curls will be.

4. Adjust the Pipecleaners in Your Dreadlocks

Bend the pipecleaners into a bob or a style of your choice. Be creative. You can position them to the side, create a bun, or crate any number of dreadlocks styles with them. Make sure that the pipecleaners are not sticking out in an unflattering position.

6.  Protect Your Style

Wrap your hair up in a large scarf at night. This will help keep your hair in a bob shape and help keep the pipecleaners in.

7. Remove the Pipecleaners

After your hair is completely dry (it might take a couple of days if you don’t use a hair dryer) remove the pipecleaners to reveal your curls.
