Donna Lombardi and Naeem  Sharif met up at the Seasoned Vegan on the Black Ink Crew episode which aired at 9 p.m. Eastern on June 20, 2016 on  VH1. Donna didn’t know who to believe. She didn’t know if she should believe, Ashley the mother of her boyfriend’s children or her incarcerated boyfriend, Maxwell.

Naeem asked her if she wanted to go out after they left the restaurant, but Donna said no, because he is a relationship, and she didn’t want to go out of the friend zone with him.

In the next scene of the show, Dutchess came to the conclusion that she had to be patient will dealing with Ceaser’s baby’s mothers. She wanted to focus on her relationship, and not worry so much about those other women. She even had a romantic dinner for Ceaser. But Ceaser had a surprise for her, too. He told her that he found a better shop location for Black Ink. He planned to relocate to 125th Street in Harlem, so one day he would be able to buy her the $2.5 million dream house that she wanted. The first location that he had in mind fell through.

Sky was feeling sad, because her son’s birthday was coming up. She had two sons when she was a teenager and gave them up for adoption.

The boys are about 16 years old now, and the last time Sky saw them was on Halloween when they were younger. She learned that they were comfortable with the family they were with. They’d traveled with the family and had even gone to Dubai. Sky was in tears, because she didn’t want her sons to think that she didn’t love them.

Then the focus was on the new Black Ink shop. Ceaser took Ted to see the location he had in mind for the new shop. Ceaser’s realtor was there waiting for them, and he had planned to sign the papers that night for the new shop. Ted didn’t like the location, but he decided to support Ceaser, his friend and boss.

Ceaser closed the shop down on a Saturday to have an art event for O’Sh*t to display his artwork. O’Sh*t  came in late and asked for something to drink as soon as he got there, which left a bad taste in everyone’s mouth.

Later at Black Ink, Rah Ali stopped by to get her tattoo touched up. Trouble was that Sky and Rah Ali had a problem with each other. Sky’s friend had an eyelash line, and Rah Ali was promoting it as though it was hers. After Rah Ali arrived at Black Ink and told Ceaser about the tattoo that she wanted touched up, she said that she wanted to speak with Sky, because she felt disrespected by her.

It was Sky’s day off, but Ceaser agreed to ask her to come to the shop so the two of them could talk. Ceaser hoped to straighten things out with O’Sh_ _ _ and with Sky. A drunk employee nor an employee with issues with his clients were not a good look for him.

So, Sky confronted Rah Ali. Sky had her hair under a cap and was wearing fighting gear. As soon as Rah Ali saw her, she asked her why was she dressed like that. Rah got out about one question before Sky attacked her.

Art2Ink had its first annual sip and paint.

When Alexis came around, Sassy wanted to assure her that she’d been keeping an eye on Naeem. Alexis wanted to know why was Sassy suspicious of their relationship. Sassy told her, that she knew that Donna and Naeem had a fling in the distant past, but nothing recently. This was news to Alexis, because apparently, Naeem made her believe that he’d never had any intimacy with Donna.

Alexis went to have words with Donna.

Girl, you need to use your inside hands, not your outside hands.

Donna hit Alexis because she thought that Alexis was going to attack her. There was chaos, briefly, but of course the fight was broken up, and everyone calmed down.

Sky decided to fly out to see her sons and tell them why she had them adopted. She wasn’t sure if they were going to accept her or not, and she was so afraid of disrupting their lives or of them rejecting her. On the way to the airport, she decided not to go.

O’Sh*t had a customer waiting for him at Black Ink and didn’t show up for the appointment. His customer waited for him for four hours, and no one knew where he was. When he finally came in, Ceaser asked him where he was, and he said that he was having sex with his lady and was getting crazy with it. Ceaser had a screaming, crying fit in the shop, and even threw his own furniture around. O’Sh*t  tried to apologize, but Ceaser had enough of O’Sh*t.

I don’t think that I’m worth Ceaser’s effort. Maybe he should focus on someone else. I know my worth. It’s nothing.

In the opening scene of Black Ink Crew, Donna went to Puma’s shop, and he decided to give her a chance; he gave her a job when she showed up with her portfolio. He saw that she had potential.

 

Down South in North Carolina, Dutchess’ mother wasn’t too happy with Ceaser, and she told Dutchess so. Dutchess’ mom felt that he should have done more to help her daughter with her shop, Pretty in Ink, but Dutchess wanted to handle her shop on her own.

Ceaser went to see his mother. Her health was failing. His mother has a kidney disease which had been impacting her brain. Ceaser’s mother cautioned him that he should marry someone who does not control him. She didn’t seem to like Dutchess.

Naeem is mentoring Donna, which could pose a problem, because his girlfriend told him to stay away from her. In this episode, Donna did her first tattoo at Art2Ink on her sister. Donna’s sister said that she loved the tattoo, and said that she was determined to grow as a tattoo artist and as a person.

Ceaser and his family drove to Tampa for his mother’s surgery. He was concerned about what his mother told him, especially since she was so sick. He felt as though he was stuck between a rock and a hard place, because he didn’t want to choose between his mother’s wishes and his fiancée.

Donna and Sky got together, for a friendly chat on this episode the Black Ink Crew. Donna wanted to vent about her boyfriend, currently in jail. Donna suspected that he might have been having a relationship with the mother of his children.

OSh** had seen some blood in his urine. He had been drinking heavily, which is a problem since he is a recovering alcohoilc He went to the doctor, and OSh** had a prostate exam on national TV. The doctor was concerned about cancer and cancer seemed to run in OSh** family. So, OSh** doctor told him that he would run some tests.

Happy to show off her body and return to the dating scene, Sky met up with not one guy but two guys at Lulu’s. She said that the first guy wasn’t worthy of her new body (he was okay for her old body) but the second guy she liked (although he admitted that he was built from the steroids he takes).

Dutchess and Ceaser got together to catch up. Dutchess voiced her concerns about getting married while Ceaser was having drama with the mother of his child. She suggested that Ceaser try to have a conversation with his ex, so they could clear the air. Ceaser called her delusional.

Donna found out that her fiance’s baby’s mother had something going with her man. The other woman and her man were having phone sex almost every day while he was in jail. That was interesting information for Donna, but then the woman started to insult her, saying that she wasn’t a good girlfriend and that Donna was promiscuous, Donna couldn’t hold back, and the woman almost had a physical fight.

]]> Dutchess arrived in North Carolina in the Black Ink Crew episode that aired at 9 p.m. on May 30, 2016. In There was plenty of work to do  for the Dutchess of Charlotte in her Pretty In Ink tattoo shop.

Dutchess introduced her new employees. First there was Angel, a well-experienced tattoo artist. Shawna was a younger artist who Dutchess felt would grow into the industry.  Dutchess thought of Shawna as a younger sister. BeBe, Dutchess’s best friend was helping in the shop, too. During her first staff meeting, Dutchess tried to motivated her staff to work quickly, because her grand opening was soon.

Donna had the nerve to come to Sky’s place not with money, but with Sky’s favorite drink. Sky accepted the drink, and Donna’s friendship, and Donna chatted with Sky, telling her that she really wanted to show Dutchess her portfolio. It seems that Donna wanted some validation from Dutchess that she had improved. She at least wanted Dutchess to see that she had been working hard. Sky mentioned that Dutchess was having a grand opening in North Carolina, and Donna got it in her head to go to Pretty in Ink to show Dutchess her portfolio (with the thought that Dutchess would beg her to work in her shop).

The next day in Dutchess’ shop, her staff members were relaxing and not doing any of the things that she needed them to do. Dutchess had a fit, because it was a day before the opening and the place was clearly unfinished.

Sky, OS***, Walt, Tedd and Melody went out to eat at Mac’s Speed Shop, a barbecue restaurant in North Carolina. They all came up for Dutchess’ Grand Opening. They chatted about Dutchess’ shop and how they didn’t know anything about it, because whenever they asked about the shop, Dutchess was secretive.

At Art2Ink Phoenix’s mother showed up, and he hadn’t seen her in years. Apparently she was a drug addict in the past, so she was in and out of Phoenix’s life. Puma had the same situation happen to him. His mother was a drug addict, too, and he allowed his mother back into his life for the sake of his daughter. Phoenix on the other hand, was not ready to have a relationship with his mother. He had been in the shelter system as a young man, because of her addictions. He did agree to meet with her to have a conversation, however.

Dutchess decided that no one was going to sleep, because it was crunch time, and she needed to get her shop finished by the next morning. She decided that her staff would work around the clock. Then she noticed that Ceaser was missing.

Back in Harlem, Naeem brought some tattoo equipment to Donna’s place. It turns out that Dutchess and Ceaser were cleaning Black Ink up, and Donna’s tattoo equipment was thrown out (because it looked like something that someone didn’t need?) Anyway, Donna made up her mind to go up to North Carolina, anyway and show off her portfolio to Dutchess, although she thought that Dutchess was evil.

Ceaser showed up at the grand opening late, but he came with a dog for Dutchess, which made Dutchess happy, but she was still angry that he was late in the first place. Dutchess stepped out of a Rolls Royce to make her grand entrance for her Grand Opening of Pretty in Ink. Everything came together and the shop was well put together, so it was proud evening for Dutchess.

At the Grand Opening Ted was attracted to Shawna, Dutchess’ young tattoo artist. He went in for the kill, just by getting her number.

Ceasar proposed to Dutchess again in her shop, and he presented her with another ring. Teddy figured that if Ceaser kept getting engaged, he wouldn’t have to get married.

Phoenix and his mother sat down to talk at the Chipped Cup. Phoenix felt that there was nothing that his mother could say to make him understand why she chose drugs over her family. Apparently she would pop up in his life when he was a child. He would get excited, and then she would disappear again. His mother ended up crying and nearly begging her son to accept her in his life again. She said that she was in her 20’s when she was addicted but was now she is 52. Phoenix decided to take baby steps with her.

Also in New York, Naeem’s girlfriend was boxing. She was upset, because she wanted Naeem to spend more time with their daughter. Then the woman got into how Naeem spends too much time with his friends, and how she didn’t like Donna, one of Naeem’s friends. He tried to explain that Donna was really just a friend, but she still didn’t trust him. She also threatened Donna and Naeem, which could be serious, because Naeem’s girlfriend can box.

On her opening day, for Pretty In Ink, there was literally a line of customers that went all the way down the street. Sky was at the shop, wearing dark glasses and with a hangover. After the Grand Opening celebration, they all went out, and she drank some more, so Sky was really feeling pretty bad.

Suddenly Donna came into the shop with her portfolio. Dutchess said that her shade was accurate and there was a problem with her spacing. Then Donna asked why Ceaser and Dutchess threw away her tattoo equipment. Donna told them then that she was not there to get a job. She said that she just wanted to show them their portfolio (but maybe she wouldn’t have turned down a job if it was offered).  In the heat of the argument, Dutchess explained that some girls asked her what should be done with some tattoo equipment they’d found. Dutchess said that she didn’t know who the items belonged too, and since she didn’t know the identity of the owner, the equipment should be thrown out. A loud argument broke out and Dutchess screamed at her to get out of her shop.

Donna left the the shop, but stood around outside, and she had words with some of Dutchess’ family members, including her sister Zandy who threatened to beat her down. Donna kept screaming that Zandy needed to blend her weave better. Dutchess got word that they were fighting and he flung her shoes off in an attempt to run outside and defend her sister. Ceaser had to hold Dutchess down.

In the last scene of the Black Ink Crew, Donna said that she was waiting for Dutchess to come back to Harlem.

]]> Sky was still showing off her new body on the Love & Hip Hop episode that aired at 9 p.m. Eastern Time on May 23, 2016 on VH1. She showed up to work in a bikini and stood out outside the shop trying to get new customers into the shop.

At Ponty Bistro, Sassy spoke with Phoenix and Naeem, Puma’s former tattoo artists. They were former tattoo artists because they both quit work after the shooting in the shop. Neither of them wanted to work in a potentially dangerous environment. Sassy tried her best to convince them to return.

Dutchess and Donna sat down to clear up their differences. Dutchess invited a woman who has HIV. Donna felt that Dutchess was willing to apologize but not without getting on her high horse and trying to teach her a lesson. They both apologized to each other at the same time. Maria asked Donna if she would work in Dutchess’ shop. The trouble was that she asked her to do that without Dutchess’ consent.

Kathie came into the shop to get a tattoo. She wanted Dutchess to give her an elephant. Kathie said that the money was only part of the issue that she had with OSh**. She didn’t felt that she had been disrespected.

Kathie promised that she had something to come, and Dutchess, knowing about the wrath of baby mommas, wanted to get her money from her work, and get back to North Carolina as soon as possible. “Richard is going down. I have had enough of his games,” Kathie said. “He has been treating me like a doormat. He is going to be my doormat.”

Puma lucked out, because Naeem came back to work at Art2Ink, but Phoenix wouldn’t return to Puma’s shop right away. Puma was upset that if everyone was upset there would be no money coming in. He decided to have a party to help reestablish his shop in Harlem.

Sky made her rapping debut. She made a rap about some guy that she saw who stole some of her jewelry. She invited Teddy and another friend to visit her in the studio. Sky told her friends that her baby’s father had contacted her, and he wanted to meet up. He was the father of her twins whom she gave up for adoption. She was only 14 when she got pregnant, and he left her after she had their children.

At Art2Ink, Puma’s party was going well. Everyone there seemed to be in love with the shop. Phoenix came back. He said that Sassy had changed his mind. He liked that there was a family at Art2Ink and he wanted to be a part of what was happening at the shop.

Phoenix completed a tattoo of a phoenix for a customer who had lost a lot of weight and wanted the tattoo to symbolize a rebirth. Phoenix shared in his interview, his difficult childhood. His mother chose drugs over her family. These days he was focused on being a better man for his daughter.

Sky decided to go ahead and meet with the father of her twins. She wanted to confront her past and let the father of her children see her as a strong, confident woman. He apologized, because he admitted that he said that he was going to be there for her, and he didn’t. Sky broke down, crying. She was happy to be able to get everything out. She told him that she had no ill will towards him. The next big highlight of her life would be when she meets them as men, she said.

Dutchess left Black Ink to get her own shop opened. She was nervous before she left, but excited. Kathie sent someone to serve OSh** with a summons to appear in court (because of child support). Ceaser told the guy that OSh** wasn’t there. He was fired the day before. Of course, OSh** was sitting right there in the shop the entire time.

The guy left and came right back, because figured out that OSh** was sitting behind the counter. He was served. OSh** was next seen walking down the street with liquor in a paper bag.

Black Ink Crew Travel Destination Focus: Ponty Bistro

Sassy met up with Art2Ink tattoo artists Naeem and Phoenix at the Ponty Bistro. She went there to convince the men to come back to work after the shooting. Ponty Bistro serves African and French cuisine in Harlem, New York.

]]> Ceaser didn’t believe Dutchess’s story about the night she had with Donna. That was clear in the Black Ink Crew episode that aired at 9 p.m. Eastern Time on May 2, 2016 on VH1. Dutchess had explained that Donna came on to her, and Donna denied that her advances were not wanted.

Dutchess, however could not explain away the reason why she did not wear her engagement ring while in Miami. She had told the girls that she had lost it and couldn’t recover it. Devastated that he had opened up to Duchess, Ceaser said that there was nothing that she could do to get him to forgive her. Ceaser felt betrayed, because he thought that Dutchess went to Miami and behaved as though she was a single woman, not the conservative girl friend that he had known.

Donna had to prove that she was telling the truth about the evening that she and Dutchess hooked up, so she called her friend Allison to confirm that Dutchess was not forced into anything. Allison couldn’t provide any details (Dutchess kept interrupting) but she did confirm that Donna did not force Dutchess in any way. Dutchess kept asking the girl if Allision was drunk or had she had been drinking. Of course, everyone had been drinking, so that was a moot point. Drinking or not, it wouldn’t look good if Dutchess had been intimate with Donna in Miami when Ceaser was back in New York, talking about going forward with their wedding plans. During the conversation between Donna and Allison, Ceaser looked as though he was having a revelation. Then he looked furious.

Donna asked her friend on Face Time, “It looked like she was having fun, right?” The girl confirmed, by saying right.

Allision apparently came into the room where Donna and Dutchess were for the show. “What’d I say. I said that I’m just going to watch,” she said.

By this time, in the conversation with Allison, Dutchess was fairly quiet and Ceaser was silent, but he looked like he was fuming inside.

Donna kept on telling Dutchess’s secrets. Namely that she had slept with Teddy’s cousin and OhSh_t, a tattoo artist in the shop and Ceaser’s friend. Dutchess denied doing anything with OHS#t. Donna wouldn’t stop dishing her allegations. She was on a mission to expose Dutchess, because she had been judgmental towards Donna.

Donna had a god point. Although her boyfriend was in jail, she was still wearing her ring, yet Dutchess conveniently lost her ring while in Miami, and was wearing it when she went back to the shop with Ceaser.

Noeem, one of the tattoo artists at Art2Ink introduced his girlfriend, Alexis to the people in the shop. They had been dating for three years and have a year-old daughter. Noeem had to learn sign language to enhance the communication with his girlfriend, because she is deaf. Sassy was thrilled to see the happy couple; Noeem and his girlfriend hugged and kissed each other often, during their time together in Art2Ink. “I approve of all of this,” Sassy said.

On the opposite end of happy was Ceaser, “I don’t know what to feel right now, he said. “All I know is that somebody has made a fool out of me in my own shop, and somebody’s lying to me.”

Dutchess reiterated that Donna had crossed the line and told Ceaser outright that he needs to get rid of her.

Ceaser was done talking about it for the moment, until his misgivings about her story took over, and he refused to accept her explanations. He asked her how would she feel if he was in the same situation, and she answered that she didn’t know how she would feel if Ceaser had received oral sex from someone while he was away in a hot city like Miami. This was the same woman who didn’t seem to forgive him for touching another woman as he was instructed to do, during a professional photoshoot.

Frustrated that Dutchess would never admit to any wrongdoing, Ceaser’s anger grew. He felt that he gave his heart to Dutchess, and she went behind his back and didn’t wear her engagement ring. Dutchess finally apologized, but Ceaser felt that her apology wasn’t sincere. He said that she only apologized because he was pissed. Dutchess was either crying or very close to crying. She told Ceaser that she had forgiven him time and time again and they should just close the situation.

“What can I do to fix it?” she asked.

“Nothing,” Ceaser answered.
