In the shocker of the Real Housewives of Atlanta, there was a bomb scare at Phaedra Parks’ office. Apparently a bomber threatened to blow up the building.  The bomber was an ex-client of Phaedra’s.

But at Kelle’s Kakes  a custom baked goods, Rickelle, owner of Kelle’s Kakes greeted Kenya and Cynthia and showed them how they could make their own cakes. Kenya’s cake was for Matt. Rickelle teaches private cake-making classes. Kenya made a Gucci cake for him. Kenya explained that she met Matt’s family, and she introduced her idea for having an ATV couples’ day for his birthday. Kenya invited Kandi and Todd, but Cynthia, who is going through a divorce was not invited, and needless to say, Sheree also wasn’t invited.

Meanwhile, at Chastain Park, Sheree had a heart-to-heart talk with her son, Kairo. He’d been arrested for a DUI. Apparently, he had been smoking marijuana. Kairo, a Morehouse student, said that he was pulled over for an expired tag. Sheree was upset that Kairo had any dealings with the police, especially since so many African-Americans had been shot or attacked by police recently.

Then Kandi explained that they were three months behind on the construction of their restaurant.  Wo showed up, but Peter, who has a new Bar One in Atlanta. He took a look around Kandi and Todd’s OLG restaurant and was impressed.

Cynthia went house hunting with Noelle. The house is 4,260 square feet and is on a lake. It has six bedrooms. Apparently, it’s off I-400. It was going for $949,000.

So, Porsha and Phaedra made it to the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia, where they  went to the motivational and educational events and had a great time. They also attended a Gun Violence Prevention Roundtable discussion. Judge Mathis, Frederica Wilson, the U.S. Representative from Florida, and Trayvon Martin’s brother, Jahvaris Fulton were on the roundtable panel. After the convention, Phaedra went to see Apollo to try to wrap up their divorce (get him to sign documents).

Sheree took Kairo to see his Dad, Bob, who talked to him about smoking marijuana. He made it clear that he didn’t support his son hanging out with the “homies” and having smoking sessions.

Then Mama Joyce set up a romantic rendezvous for Kandi and Todd in their guest house. Mama Joyce had the Bedroom Kandi set out.

While driving around, Kenya admitted that things between her Matt were rocky. For Throwback Thursday on Instagram, Kenya posted a picture of herself and Jay Z in a car during the shooting of the “Money Ain’t a Thing” video, and Matt went a little crazy. She said

Kenya hoped that Matt would still spend his birthday with her, but he left town and wasn’t present at the ATV fun-day at Durham Town Plantation, a Sportsman’s resort.

On the way to see Apollo, Phaedra found out that there was a bomb threat towards her. Her staff got to the office and the police were there, because a bomber was threatening to blow Phaedra’s office up and everyone in it. Phaedra called her mother and asked that she get the kids and get away. Her mother reaasured her that she had the children and he should proceed with seeing Apollo. Of course they prayed together over the phone, so Phaedra could feel better.

Then Kandi got a phone call from Carmen that there was a news report that a guy with a grenade threatened to blow the building up and everyone inside.

Matt came back at Kenya after this episode aired. He wrote in an Instagram post that she’d lied, and had set him up to miss the birthday gathering.
