The Dominican Republic has been given even more hype since Andi Dorfman, the Bachelorette 2014 handed out the final rose there. Andi with her suitors to Marseille, France, Venice, Italy, and Belgium. The Dominican Republic, was the centerpiece destination of the season. The season featured some of the most romantic scenes and views out of all of the seasons of the popular reality TV show. Where was The Bachelorette filmed in the Dominican Republic? Episodes were filmed at the Punta Cana Beach Club and Resort,  Paradisus Puntacana Resort, and Casa de Campo.

Paradisus PuntaCana  Resort Melia Property

The Paradisus Puntacana resort is an impressive all-inclusive 694-room resort that hosted the Bachelorette cast members during the 2014 season. The property features a five pools (two of the pools are for children) a personal attendant for each of the resort’s guests, a spa, a golf course, a dozen restaurants, and 10 bars.

For the adventurous types, the Paradisus has a connecting adventure park. There, guests will find a climbing wall, batting area, and archery. The four Diamond AAA hotel also features professional shows to entertain guests.

A deluxe garden room suite is shown in the image above, but the Puntacana Paradisus has so much more to offer. This Dominican Republic all-inclusive luxury resort has two-story bungalows with views of the sea and gardens. The hotel offers luxury junior suites with private gardens, whirlpools, and ocean views. The Paradisus often has special rates, but a rate for a week in September (unrestricted all-inclusive) was about $2,086 for a deluxe garden view suite.  The Royal Service Regal Oceanview room, like the room in the photo, is about $3,521 for the unrestricted all inclusive rate.

The Bachelorette was also filmed at the Punta Cana Beach Club and Resort in the Dominican Republic. This resort is set on three miles of beachfront property and 15,000 square feet of land. The Tortuga Bay Hotel, a five diamond hotel designed by Oscar de la Renta, homes with two to five-bedrooms for rent, a 200-room hotel, the Westin Puntacana Resort and Club, and another hotel, Four Points by Sheraton Puntacana Village all make up the Puntacana Beach Club and Resort.

The resort has a spa, Six Senses Spa, which features Asian-inspired treatments and signature package treatments for the face and body.  There are several restaurants on the property, as well, from elegant sit-down restaurants to casual grills.

Tortuga Bay has one, two, and three  and four bedroom suites with kitchenettes, and large bathrooms with Jacuzzi tubs and separate showers. Guests receive golf carts to transport themselves around the massive Puntacana Resort and Beach Club property.

The crew spent two nights at the Casa de Campo resort in the DR. One of the Leading Hotels of the World and a AAA four diamond resort, Casa de Campo has hotel rooms, suites and villas. The villas consist of Classic Villas (3 to 5 bedrooms) Exclusive Villas (3 to 6 bedrooms) and Oceanfront Villas (3 to 7) bedrooms.

Casa de Campo has outdoor activities and indoor/outdoor spa services, too. Spa treatment rooms can accommodate individuals, couples, family members or friends. Holistic treatments are also available through JB Holistic. Casa de Campo offers excursions like a catamaran to Catalina Island, trips to tour the city and trips to Maravillas Caves.

Now is the time to plan a trip to the Dominican Republic, because several resorts have specials to lure reality show fans or people who just want a romantic escape.
