How to Get to St. Barts Island

Juliana Airport is the closest commercial airport. Travelers must fly into St. Marteen and then take a connection to St. Barts. Visitors can take usually find direct flights to St. Marteen from major cities in the Eastern region of the United States, Atlanta, Miami, New York, and Charlotte, North Carolina. Upon arrive to St. Martin visitors usually take a small commuter plane, Winair to St. Barts Island. There are, however, other choices available to arrive to the island by air.

Hyatt Regency Washington

No one could say that the managers at the Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill are not prepared. The hotel has prepared  for visitors who will crowd in this month for President Obama’s inauguration. The Hyatt recently announced two inauguration packages, one for those who want to spend a little less, and another package for those who would like to spend more than double.

The first package offers  four-nights in the hotel’s luxurious Presidential Suite.   Included in  $70,000 luxury package is a limousine ride from the airport to the hotel and a reception in Hyatt’s restaurant upon the guests’ arrival. Meanwhile, during the stay, Chef Ary Schalick will prepare meals for the guest and his or her entourage. There is plenty of room to spread out in the Presidential Suite. It consists of two king suites, which can sleep up to six guests.

Guests will not go hungry. Breakfast served in bed, and some of the cuisine that makes D.C. famous are on the menu. Therefore, the VIP in the Presidential Suite will be wined and dined with the best meats, cheeses, and breads that the city has to offer from Eastern Market. Prepared cupcakes straight from Georgetown Market, and the freshest seafood, sourced from Maine Avenue Fish Market are also on the menu.

Jon Davenhall, the Food and Beverage Director at the Hyatt will round out the meals with his special cuisine and wine pairings. He will use his expertise to make sure that just the right meal pairs with an equally tempting wine. To entertain the guests, the Hyatt has arranged for a trip to a nearby museum to see the exhibit Every Four Years, and to keep the VIPs toasty warm and fashionable, Burberry scarves and gloves are included in the Presidential Entourage package. A limousine will transport guests to some famous Washington DC monuments during a tour of a city. Massages and hair services will help the guests feel and look their best before  the six guests use their tickets to attend the Hyatt’s  All American Ball on January 20. The hotel has also made arrangements for the entourage guests to watch the inauguration festivities from a rooftop near the hotel.

The $30,000 package is similar to the Presidential Entourage Package, except this package accommodates guests for four nights in the Hyatt Regency Washington’s Capitol Suite. They will receive two tickets to the All American Ball. Other rates for rooms at the Hyatt Regency Capitol Hill will start at about $600 a night during the weekend of the inauguration.
