The Holland America’s new ms Koningsdam ship is on the way in April 2016. The ship has 12 one-person ocean-view staterooms that are designed for solo travelers. They range from 127 square feet to 172 square feet large. The solo cabins are a welcomed change. Most cruises cater only to families or people who are not traveling alone. The ms Koningsdam ship also includes 32 family ocean state rooms.

Overall, the ms Koningsdam can accommodate 2,650 guests. Koning means king in Dutch. All of the suites and staterooms include the signature Mariner’s Dream Bed, a robe for use on the ship, massage shower heads in the bathroom, flat-screen TVs, fragrant hygiene products, a mini fridge, and free fresh fruit.

The most luxurious quarters, the Grand Pinnacle Suite has is 1,290 square feet and has a bedroom, dining room, living room, and a dressing room. This special quarters offers a veranda with a whirlpool.
