The Ladies, an Ice Castle, the Canadian Rockies, and Sean Lowe of the Bachelor
The glamorous locations for the reality TV show, The Bachelor have sparked the imaginations of women throughout the United States. In an episode that aired on February 5, the ladies who were vying for Bachelor Sean Lowe’s attention were whisked away to Alberta, Canada where they stayed at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise. In one of the most memorable events in the episode, Sean surprised Catherine Giudici with a dinner in a glistening ice castle, situated near the luxury hotel. For those who would like to see this castle, take note that, according to the Chateau Lake Louise website, the chefs at the hotel usually build the ice castle to enhance the hotel’s ice rink. Visit the luxury hotel in Canada the winter months, and you just might see the ice castle for yourself.
On The Bachelor, the ladies submerged themselves into the bitterly cold Lake Louise, they canoed across it, and Desiree Hartsock repelled down a mountain in Banff National Park. Desiree also had a romantic dinner in front of a crackling fire inside a tepee with Sean Lowe. We can only guess at how the other ladies spent their time at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise.
The hotel has a spa, bars/lounges, a health club with in indoor heated pool, a steam room, cardio equipment, weights, and a whirlpool. The ladies who did not dine with Sean probably ate in the hotel’s restaurant (look at the view in the photo below) or ordered room service. The Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise is wired with wi-fi throughout the property. The rate for a guest room with a king bed was $289 CAD a night on February 12.
