The linens at the InterContinental Buckhead have built-in tracking technology, so hotel officials can track them. The newly installed InvoTech technology can track the whereabouts of the Atlanta hotel’s 20,500 linens, to prevent theft and  improve handling of the inventory. With InvoTech’s UHF-RFID system, workers no longer have to count the pieces of linen when they come back from the laundry, said Drew Sheth, Housekeeping Manager at the InterContinental Buckhead Atlanta. The system makes it easier to conduct audits, and make forecasts for future linen needs. It reportedly reduces labor by 50 percent. InvoTech insures that worn out linens at the InterContinental Buckhead are flagged, so they can be replaced.  Guests won’t be able to see the tags on the linens, and the UHF-RDID system withstands wash after wash.
