2017 Candidates: Who Went Home on the Bachelor?

Alexis from the Bachelor

Alexis Waters, 23, an aspiring dolphin trainer from Secaucus, NJ

This happy-go-lucky contestant loves people who are weird, because she says that she is weird.  Alexis does strange things, like walking to CVS in a Sumo wrestling costume. She’s obsessed with dolphins and hopes that Nick and her are compatible so they can become dolphin trainers together.

“He needs to love dolphins, or this isn’t going to work out.”

The Internet had a field-day with pictures of her dressed as a shark for the premiere episode. In the episode this bachelorette insisted that she was wearing a dolphin costume. Nick had to break the news to her, and told her that she definitely was dressed as a shark.

When (or if) she moves away from her family, she hopes to bring her nanny with her.  The plan is that she takes over her family’s business. She likes that Nick says and does what he feels, and thinks that they will have cute kids together.

She stole the first kiss, which made the other women dislike her.

Corinne Olympios went topless during the group date in which the women had to dress as brides. She was the beach bride, and removed her bikini top, after she saw the the woman who was the Adam and Eve bride had a topless costume.

Danielle Lombard. opened her first nail salon at the age of 23, and now has three businesses.  With her career set up, she’s now ready to settle down, and she’s excited to meet Nick.

Eliminated Week 6

February 6, 2017

Danielle Maltby, 31, neonatal nurse, Nashville, TN

She loves his confidence, and hopes he’s ready, because she is.

Cute with dimples, Danielle Maltby had the first one-on-one date with Nick (during the second week of the show); She was engaged, but her lover died of a drug overdose. To her shock, Danielle found him dead. They had only been engaged for about two months, and Danielle said that she had no idea that he was an addict. She got a rose after her date, because Nick admired her strength and said that he definitely connected with her.

Eliminated Week 7

February 13, 2017

Dominique Alexis, 25, restaurant server, Los Angeles, CA

She felt that Nick gave her a fair chance and that he didn’t try to have a connection with him. They talked and Nick told her that he didn’t think that his feelings were not as strong with her as with the other women. So, Dominique Alexis was sent home.

Eliminated Week 3

January 16, 2017

Elizabeth (“Liz”) Sandoz, 29, doula, Las Vegas, NV

Liz Sandoz met Nick before at Jade and Tanner’s wedding.  She was Jade’s maid of honor.  She talked to Nick during the wedding reception and danced with him. They had some chemistry, apparently, because they had sex.  At the end of the night, he asked for her phone number, but she turned him down. She just thought that he was being nice, but in retrospect, she wants to get to know him.

On the first night, she wasn’t sure if he’d remember her.

The second week, during a group date, Liz Sandoz acted out a break-up with Nick in which she revealed that she knew him before. She talked about the time they shared at the wedding and that she was “ending it”.

Nick broke up with her for real after her public fake “break up” confession. He was afraid that maybe she’d told some other women that they’d had sex.  Liz had to Christen that they had been intimate. So, after a heart-to-heart conversation, during the group date, Nick wondered out loud if she’d just used their past intimacy to get on the show, and then he asked her to leave.

“Part of me wants to find a reason to want to keep Liz around, but the more I talk to Liz, the less she makes sense,” Nick said about is decision to send Liz Sandoz home.  She was the only contestant who went home of The Bachelor in week 2.

“You have to be a little bit vulnerable to allow people to love you,” she said during her exit interview. “I knew that coming in, and I didn’t do it. Maybe that’s why I didn’t stay.”

“…if Nick is really attracted to someone like Corinne, that’s what upsets me.”
