The finale of Sisters in Law aired at 10 p.m. Eastern Time on Thursday, May 12, 2016 on WE tv. Still at the beachhoue, Tiye said that they were in a good place. That is until Jolanda instigated a fight between Rhonda and Juanita.

Juanita was so angry about Rhonda’s complaining over money, that she said that she was going to hand over a $1,000 check to Rhonda, just to shut her up. Vivian said that it was time to ignore Jolanda. Rhonda had tried to apologize for constantly saying that Juanita stuck her with bills from their business. It was a beautiful thing, until Jolanda intervened.

Jolanda’s client Charley, returned with proof that she had attended two NA classes a week for the month between the reset.

Jolanda asked her client what was going on with her, because she could see that the young woman had marks on her face. Her father said that he thought that his daughter had issues with bulimia and anxiety, but Jolanda knew right off that Charley might be taking meth. So, Jolanda suggested that she check herself into a treatment center. Charlie’s father said that he was going to demand that his daughter go to rehab that weekend.

Rhonda met with her client, LaTasha, the woman who had been struck by an 18-wheeler while driving on the highway. Her case was in negotiation for $40 million. Rhonda told her that they had a written document for a significant amount of money. Rhonda wanted to know if LaTasha wanted to accept the amount or take it to trial. In the end LaTasha decided to take the offer, because she was tired of fighting, and the money offered was more than enough or her and her family.
The amount of money “was so much money that LaTasha and her family would never have to worry about money again,” Rhonda said.

Tiye had planned a party to celebrate the launch of her fashion blog. Tiye and Jolanda met at Lucille’s to chat. Jolanda said that she wasn’t trying to be an instigator. She said that they were too fake. Apparently, she wanted to expose them. Juanita and Rhonda was about to bury the hatchet and Jolanda said one thing that cause them to argue with each other. Jolanda admitted that she strategically planted some grenades after Rhonda had apologized.

Juanita’s client, Oscar went to court. He was accused of not stopping and helping someone that he hit. The man that he hit was not using the crosswalk. Juanita was hoping that her client would get a differed probation. Rhonda said that he would not have been charged with anything if he had stopped. He was sentenced to four years in prison for not stopping to render aid. His family had to come up with $500 to bail him out of jail.

Rhonda, Monique, and Vivian met at The Grove Restaurant and Bar. Rhonda shared with them her feelings about Jolanda. Rhonda wanted Jolanda to leave their sisterhood. Vivian called Jolanda was a user.  “She’s risen so high that she doesn’t need me anymore. She’s a user,” Vivian said. “She’s used me up. She’s not given me any credit for defending and saving her law license, saving her from being arrested, some protracted litigation, but I believe that Jolanda needs to hear from me. I think she needs to know that I feel resentment, because she’s never appreciated and properly acknowledged what I’ve done for her.”
Monique mentioned that Tiye was having a blog release party.

“Really, I mean, I’ve never seen her wear any designer,” Rhonda said cattily. “If you’re gonna blog about fashion, shouldn’t you know something about fashion?”

Monique asked Rhonda to be her plus-one at Tiye’s party.

“Tye’s party, is not a high priority on my list, but what is important is getting the sisterhood together,” Monique said. It’s time for us to address all this this stuff.”

Monique wanted to talk to Jolanda at the party, since she was going to be there. Tiye had her blog launch party at Matthew Knowles’ mansion. Matthew Knowles it turns out, is Tiye’s client.

Rhonda and Juanita apologized to each other again and agreed to put the past behind them. At the party, the Sisters in Law pulled Jolanda aside for a discussion. Monique said that she had a problem with how Jolanda stirred the pot between Juanita and Rhonda when they were trying to make up. Then Rhonda said that she had a problem with how Jolanda treated Vivian, because Vivian helped when she was at risk at losing her freedom and her ability to practice law. Vivian helped defend Jolanda. Jolanda said that she couldn’t have a relationship with someone who talks about her behind her back. She said that it wasn’t their place to make her try to have a relationship with Vivian. The other women asked Jolanda to co-exist with Vivian, and she finally agreed.

At RDG Bar Annie, Monique asked the women for help. One of her clients had been served a request for an injunction. It will keep 92 black men from their community, a total of 1,396 acres. It was a gang injunction to keep them out of their neighborhood. Monique said that there was no evidence that the men were gang members. Monique asked the other attorneys to help her pro bono on the case. No one had spoken to Jolanda since Tiye’s party, but she had one a seat on the school board. Monique had invited her to the restaurant and when she arrived there, Monique asked Jolanda to join and help get the community involved, and she said yes. “I know that they talked to me like a dog before I arrived there. I already know that,” she said. But Jolanda believed in the cause and wanted to help.
