St. Barts Island just might be the perfect getaway destination for lovers. At least, this appeared to be true for Jessica Alba and her husband, Cash Warren. The actress rode a boat on April 4 on the island with her husband and friends. They were seen near Eden Roc Beach. St. Barts, with its glamorous villas and cozy hotels is viewed as a secluded and exclusive getaway. Honeymooners or people who are simply in love could feel free to play on the beaches, explore the island, and relax and express their love for each other. Villa Piment, an air conditioned one bedroom villa with a kitchen, lounge area, pool and heated Jacuzzi, rents for $3,340 for a week. Larger, more elaborate villas rent for more than $15,000 per week.

How to Get to St. Barts Island

Juliana Airport is the closest commercial airport. Travelers must fly into St. Marteen and then take a connection to St. Barts. Visitors can take usually find direct flights to St. Marteen from major cities in the Eastern region of the United States, Atlanta, Miami, New York, and Charlotte, North Carolina. Upon arrive to St. Martin visitors usually take a small commuter plane, Winair to St. Barts Island. There are, however, other choices available to arrive to the island by air.

For Americans, a passport is necessary, but a visa is not required, as long as the stay is for under 30 days, and the traveler has a round-trip airline ticket. Beyonce, Harrison Ford, Star Jones, Gwen Stefani, and other celebrities (including Jessica Alba and Nicole Richie) have spent time on St Barts. The island was just recently the backdrop in a Victoria’s Secret photo shoot in January 2013.
