The Today Show is bound for Sydney, Australia. The show will air live from Down Under on Monday, May 4, 2015. The Australians are not only gushing over the fact that The Today Show, a show with one of the highest ratings in the U.S. is airing in the state of New South Wales, but also Today Show co-anchor Savannah Guthrie, who was born in Australia will act as an ambassador/tour guide between the U.S. and Australia. Guthrie has been a co-anchor on the Today Show for three years, although she joined the show as a legal analyst in 2007. according to reports.
Sydney is prepared to get the most of The Today Show TV exposure by partnering with Quantas airline to use the marketing potential to increase tourism in Australia. According to Mike Baird, the Premier of New South Wales, Australia will market Australia as a “must-see” destination with the cooperation of The Today Show.
