When you arrive to Skiathos Town by sea, you will have a view like this.

 Papadiamanti Street

Papadiamanti Street is one of the main drags in town. At night, people drink and party. During the day, the streets near Papadiamanti Street are perfect for shopping, eating, and tavern hopping. So, if you want to be near the action in Skiathos, it’s definitely a good idea to get a hotel in or around Papadimanti Street.

Check for available rooms at the Bourtzi Boutique Hotel, a small hotel with about 30 rooms. It’s run by two brothers, and former guests rave about the service there. The Bourtzi Boutique Hotel is a winner of the 2015 Traveler’s Choice Award from TripAdvisor.

 Koukounaries Beach

You can’t visit Skiathos without going to the beach. Koukounaries Beach is a clean gorgeous beach that is ideal for families. The sea is relatively shallow, and you have to walk out for a while into the water until it gets deep. Koukounaries Beach is extremely popular; expect crowds in July and August, though. There are plenty amenities here like cool drinks, showers, and food.

 Agia Eleni Beach

For another option, Agia Eleni Beach is a tiny beach in the vicinity of the main town. The sea is shallow, here too.

 Lalaria Beach

Lalaria Beach is a rocky beach that you can reach only by boat. Don’t pass up the opportunity to visit here on a private boat. The water, as you can see, is an outrageous shade of blue. Be sure to bring your camera and swim in these turquoise waters; you should definitely appreciate the romantic view. Boat tours are available from the Old Harbour in Skiathos.

Bourtzi peninsula in Skiathos is the site of an ancient fort; built by the Gizi brothers who lived there in the 1200s. There’s also a cafe, a cultural center, with meeting rooms, and a theater. Bourtzi has lush vegetation and great views.
