The Hangzhou Global Tourism Commission has a new social media campaign contest that will send lucky winners around the world for 30 days. A Chinese family and a family from the U.S. will win the trips. A member of the media will be chosen to document the trip. The aim of the trip is to market Hangzhou as as destination for both traditional and modern experiences in China.
The 30-day trip will start out in Hangzhou and then the travelers will proceed to Dunhuang, China, and next to Mykonos, Greece; Santorini, Greece; Dubrovnik, Croatia; Venice, Italy; Geneva, Switzerland; Paris, France; Boston, Massachusetts. The trip will end in New York City.
Families have until June 11th to submit a video audition and questionnaire to become contenders for the trip. Visit Global Tour 2015 for the full details for applying.
Those who want to apply for the position of storyteller on the trip, must submit a couple of writing assignments, including a 200-word introduction and a second article on the happiest destination along the route. Both submissions must be completed on or before the June 11th deadline. Winners will be announced on June 18th and the trip will take place from July 24th to August 22nd.
