Anyone who loves the water and underwater life or those who just wish to have an aquatic adventure without getting wet should give an underwater hotel room a try. Submerged below the sea guests have the benefits of being surrounding by blue seas and an every-changing view. These underwater hotel rooms are obviously one of the best ways to get closer to nature.
1. The Manta Underwater Room, Pemba Island
Guests reach the Manta Underwater Room from Pemba Island (near Zanzibar) via boat. They receive meals at pre-determined times. For their convenience and safety, they receive a cell phone and have access to a security guard who is located near the room. The Manta Underwater room does have a bathroom with a shower and a eco-friendly toilet. The Underwater room may be reserved for $1,500 per night.
2. LIME Spa, Maldives
If you don’t quite want to spend the night underwater, you can still experience the depths of the sea in LIME spa at the Huvafen Fushi resort in the Maldives. This Maldives Underwater room is a must-have experience. Lie down, get a massage and watch the fish swim by. How’s that for a unique spa visit? Just in case, you can’t get enough of the water, the Huvafen Fushi has ocean bungalows with glass floors.
3. Atlantis at the Palm in Dubai
The view from the bedroom and bathroom reveal spectacular underwater views in the underwater suites at the Atlantis at the Palms in Dubai. The Neptune and Poseidon Underwater suites include 24/7 private butler service, access to the steam room, sauna, and pool at the spa and other niceties. Both the Neptune Underwater Suite and the Poseidon Underwater Suite are one-bedroom accommodations measuring 1,776 square feet. The rate for the Poseidon Suite and the Neptune Suite is about $8,168 a night. According to the Atlantis at the Palms, the Poseidon Suite encompasses three floors.
