AC Hotels by Marriott will open 22 new locations in various locations around the world in 2016. AC Hotels are considered luxurious to mid-range boutique hotels. The hotels embody the milllennial mindset. Millennials are typically well connected through technology, so they expect wi-fi and other technology that will help them share their experiences with friends and loved ones back home. Millennials are also likely to combine work and pleasure, so they have many of the same needs as business travelers. They also tend to appreciate modern decor.
Five AC hotels are planned to open this month: Guadalajara Mexico; AC Cincinnati North/West Chester, OH; AC Boston North, MA; AC Marseille, France; and AC Queretaro, Mexico.
Over the next few months AC Hotels will open in the following areas: Panama City, Panama; Santiago, Chile; San Jose, California; Atlanta, Georgia; Asheville, North Carolina; Des Moines, Idaho; Minneapolis, Minnesota; Boston Cambridge, MA; Phoenix Tempe, AZ; Rio Barra de Tijuca, Brazil; Rio Porto Maravilha, Brazil; Mainz, Germany; Herzliya, Israel; Wroclaw, Poland; Manchester, UK and Birmingham England, UK.
