Etihad Airways announced on December 2, 2015 the opening of the second premium lounge for its patrons in the United States. The new lounge inside JFK International Airport is located near the gate just after International Terminal 4.

Available to first class and business class patrons, the new Etihad lounge at JFK Airport has floor to ceiling windows, a bar that offers cocktails and mocktails, showers, changing rooms and well-designed restrooms. The lounges have separate dedicated male and female ablution and prayer rooms, a library and a room for storing luggage. The first Etihad Airways Premium Lounge in America opened at the Dulles International Airport in Washington D.C.
