Hilton Worldwide announced that Hotel Phillips in downtown Kansas City will become a part of the exclusive Curio Collection brand in 2017. Built in 1931, Hotel Phillips became a member of the National Registry of Historic Places in 1979. The hotel will join the Curio Collection following its renovations.

Designed with an art deco style, Hotel Phillips’ features 11,000 square feet of meeting space, a full service restaurant, and room service. There are three weekly performances by jazz musicians at the hotel, and Hotel Phillips also has an artist in residence program in which the work of a chosen artist is displayed throughout the hotel.

The extensive renovations at the 217-room hotel will be overseen by Arbor Lodging Properties, which took over the property in October of 2015.
