Churchill Downs Racetrack and Quint Events signed an agreement that will create eight new Derby packages that include the renovated Finish Line Suites Balcony, the Stakes Room, Turf Club, and Courtyard, according to a release.
The Finish Line Suites Balcony provides a clear, unobstructed view of the action in the race. Located on the fifth floor, guests can also see the area where the horses and jockeys prepare for the Kentucky Derby.
The Stakes Room Balcony provides another view of the Stateroom. Race fans get a view of the finish line. The Stakes room is larger than before. It has gourmet food stations, an open bar, and stations for making wagering.
The Turf Room is known for hosting celebrity guests. Located on the third floor, it now has indoor seating. A new lounge, the Roses Lounge has been added to the Turf Room. There’s also outdoor seating in the Turf Balcony and also in the Terrace Balcony, the release on the Kentucky Derby expansion explained.
Kentucky Derby 142 takes place on May 6 and May 7th. Renderings of the new seating are on the Derby Experience website.
