Marriott International has acknowledged some fraudulent telephone calls in which scam artists tell people that they have a free stay at a Marriott property. Once the scammer has the person on the phone hooked on the scam, The scammer proceeds to make a sales pitch for something unrelated to Marriott.

Marriott International wants the public to know that the company has not provided personal information to the scammers. Anyone who receive suspicious phone calls from callers who claim that a prize has been won from a contest that you did not enter, do not give out your personal information, especially credit card information or banking information. Hang up immediately.
