Starwood Hotels and Resorts reported that it ended 2015 with 220 new hotel management agreements and franchise agreements. According to a release, this is the sixth year that the hotel chain has experienced growth. The management agreements completed last year translates into 26% more agreements signed compared to 2014. In 2015 Starwood Hotels and Resorts opened 105 hotels, which adds up to over 22,000 rooms in 30 countries.

The company has seen growth in its luxury brands, St. Regis, The Luxury Collection and W Hotels in which there was a total of 29 deals made. Starwood’s release pinpointed some of the new hot spots for luxury hotels, like the Maldives, Punta de Mita, Dubai, and Shanghai. Starwood Hotels and Resorts reports that the growth in its aforementioned luxury brands represents a 40% increase over 2014.

Starwood opened its 100th Luxury Collection Hotel. The Luxury Collection represents Starwood’s most luxurious and finest hotels in the most beautiful destinations in the world. Starwood Hotels and Resorts also opened its 700th hotel in the Americas.
