For guests who love great food, the in-house restaurants can make or break a hotel stay. Two chefs in Asia have been recently bestowed honors from Michelin. They are are Chef Paul Lau the Chef de Cuisine at Tin Lung Heen and Chef  Pino Lavarra, Director of Tosca. Both restaurants are located in the Ritz-Carlton Hong Kong. Tin Lung Heen is a Chinese restaurant and Tosca is an Italian restaurant.

Tin Lung Heen is known throughout the region as one of the best Cantonese restaurants in Hong Kong. Chef Lau has more than 36 years of culinary experience and has prepared cuisine professionally in Beijing, Dubai, Shanghai, the UK and Guangzhou.

Chef Lavarra has over 30 years of experience and is renowned for his Italian cuisine. According to the Ritz-Carlton, he has earned two Michelin stars for nine years in a row as the chef for Rossellinis, a restaurant on the Amalfi Coast. He has practiced culinary arts in Italy, Germany, Malaysia, and England. Chef Lavarra has said that he is excited to introduce others to Southern Italian food, his specialty.
