Luxury-Hotels conducted research to determine the most expensive hotels in the world, which are undoubtedly the some most luxurious accommodations. The Amangiri in Utah had the most expensive accommodation according to the study. Following the Amangiri is the Hotel Cala di Volpe in Sardinia, Italy. In order to qualify for this list, the properties must have at least 15 rooms or suites in the same building. Here’s the top ten list of the most expensive hotels in the world.

Hotels from all over the world were surveyed, and the rooms listed from the study were double rooms with rates forecast for June through August 2015, according to Luxury-Hotels.

 

1. Amangiri  in Canyon Point, Utah, USA

The most expensive room at the Amangiri in Canyon Point was $1889 per night, according to the survey. The Amangiri is on the border, near Arizona. It’s on 600 acres of desert land, yet the property has only 34 suites, including 13 desert view suites and 14 mesa view suites. All of the suites are air conditioned (of course) with under-the-floor heating.

In second place was the Hotel di Volpe in Sardinia, Italy. It’s double room is $1,789 and features private balconies scented in the spring by the fragrant flowers growing nearby in the hotel’s garden. These rooms have views of the sea.

Explora is well-known for its hiking, bike riding, and other exploration tours in some of the most beautiful and thought-provoking destinations in the world. The Explora Rapa Nui is positioned for travelers who wish to explore the Easter Islands. A double room here was surveyed to be $1,733 a night.

 

4.  Cap Estel in Cote d’Azur, France

A secluded getaway location in Cote d’Azur, France, Cap Estel is a boutique hotel with a mere 28 rooms. On the property are a 5-star mansion, a restaurant, poolhouse, and spa. The double rooms reportedly go for $1,679 a night.

The Montage Kapalua Bay has one, two, and three bedroom accommodations, dining eateries including: Cane & Canoe, a Sunset Patio, and the Hana Hou Bar. A market, in-room dining and private dining are also available. The Montage Kapalua offers guests a spa, with a salon and a boutique. The property comes in on the list at $1,554 per night for double rooms.

But it’s the beautifully decorated accommodations that are the pearl of Hotel Pitrizza, and you’re going to pay the price for them. The double rooms were surveyed at costing $1,543 a night at this Italian hideaway.

The Explora Atacama in Chile is located in the the driest desert on the earth. Explora offers much more than accommodations. Explora offers guests exploration trips that range from easy to difficult in the Atacama desert. Guests, however, can come back to comfortable accommodations at the Explora Atacama hotel. They are $1,533 per night.

 

8. Aman Canal Grande in Venice, Italy

The Aman Canal Grande in Venice comes in on the list at $1,489 a night. This classically beautiful hotel overlooks the Grande Canal in Venice. With a total of 24 rooms, staying at the Aman Canal Grande is a rare treat.

 

9. Villa del Parco, Forte Village Resort in Sardinia, Italy

A member of the Leading Hotels of the World group, the Villa Del Parco has both the sea and tropical gardens to soothe and comfort its guests. Rooms and bungalows are among the accommodation options. The Villa Del Parco is towards the end of the list, but don’t be confused the rooms are still expensive. The double rooms have a rate of a whopping $1,439 per night.

10. La Réserve Ramatuelle, France

La Reserve in the Ramatuelle, France is both luxurious and comfortable. The property has 12 intimate villas. Each villa gives guests access to a private chef, butler, and the use of the property’s concierge services for expert advice and booking excursions. Guests who want the finer things in life can reserve a double-sized room for $1,369 a night.
