Visitors to Walt Disney World Resort will see some big changes to the property in 2016. Downtown Disney has been revamped into Disney Springs, an expansion that will include 150 restaurants, retail shops, and entertainment areas. Some of the restaurants scheduled for Disney Springs include:

The Edison, an eatery with a 1920s theme, entertainment, and craft cocktails in an industrial-style building with 35-foot high ceilings.

Frontera Fresca is a Mexican restaurant which is known to have handmade tacos, salads, and fresh guacamole. The restaurant is the brainchild of celebrity chef Rick Bayless.

Homecoming: Florida Kitchen and Southern Shine is yet another restaurant slated for Disney Springs. The restaurant will feature Southern cuisine. It is the creation celebrity chef Art Smith, who is from Jasper, Florida and has prepared meals for celebrities and heads of state. The restaurant is scheduled to open in the summer of 2016.

STK: A high-end steakhouse, STK will not only feed guests, but the restaurant will entertain guests with a live DJ. Scheduled to open early this year, STK will have a chic, modern ambiance that is full of excitement to encourage mingling among its guests.

There is no admission fee to enter Disney Springs.
