Drama on the 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' on Lake Lanier ⋆ Somewhere Luxurious

What happened between Porsha Williams and Cynthia Bailey during a trip to Lake Lanier that was filmed on the Real Housewives of Atlanta (Season 8, Episode 4)? The trip started off pleasant enough. All of the cast members were there, Kim Fields, Kandi Burruss, Phaedra Parks, Kenya Moore, Porsha Williams and Cynthia Bailey.

Lake Lanier and the Lake Lanier Islands are about 46 miles away (about an hour’s drive away) from Atlanta. The ladies rented their boat from the Holiday Marina on Lake Lanier.

Kenya planned the trip. It was supposed to be her friend Cynthia’s second bachelorette party. Cynthia and her husband Peter were having marital problems. There were a couple of friends of the housewives on the boat. Porsha invited her friend Shamea Morton. Cynthia invited her friend, Tammy.

Kenya was fine with Cynthia inviting Tammy. The party was supposed to be for Cynthia, after all. Kenya was not pleased with Porsha inviting Shamea, the girl who shaded Kenya for putting water in the bottles for the launch party for Kenya’s hair products party. Kenya invited Sheree.

Here’s How the Boat Fight Between Cynthia and Porsha Went Down

Everything was fine on the boat, until a strange chain of events sparked the fight. First, Shamea called out Kenya again for putting water in those bottles. Kenya became angry and went to ask the captain to take her back to land (and get her off of the boat). Porsha said that it “wasn’t that serious.” Cynthia decided to go and talk to Kenya and convince her not to ask the captain to escort Shamea off the boat.

Then, Kandi made a comment, “Go best friend” and Porsha repeated it. “Go best friend,” she said, in a teasing but friendly tone. Everyone was laughing. Cynthia was definitely was drunk. They all were. Cynthia remarked that there were a lot of best friends on the boat. “We’re not her best friend, but she said you were,” Porsha said. Then Porsha said something like “Well go on “B” word. apparently the word “whatever” was in there somewhere, and that sparked the argument on Cynthia’s end. Porsha went to apologize. She had been saying the “B” word all that day.

The apology turned into bickering back and forth. Cynthia wasn’t warming up to the apology, and the next thing everyone know, there was a scuffle. They were both sitting down, but then Porsha stood up over Cynthia. Then the episode ended.
