Beginning June 2013, travelers can learn about the culture and people of Tanzania at the new Discovery Center, which is slated to open at the luxurious Four Seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti in Tanzania. The Discovery center is purposed to become an educational tool to teach visitors about this region. The actual center is described as a combination museum, research center, and lecture center.
Some of the anticipated research at the center will include tracking the regions animals. Guests will be able to view images of the animals and learn about their behaviors and habits. At the Four Seasons Lodge, travelers have a view of the animals as they bathe and drink from the two watering holes on the property. In all the lodge has 60 guest rooms, 12 suites, and and 5 villas. The rooms are decorated with local decor and all are air-conditioned and have high-speed Internet, flat-screened TVs, and in-room refrigerated bars. The lodge also has a spa, swimming pools, three restaurants and a kids’ club. The Four seasons Safari Lodge Serengeti offers guests access to half-day or full-day guided safaris to the middle of Serengeti to witness animal migrations.
