Beginning on Saturday, December 12, 2015 about 1,700 children and spouses of fallen heroes to Texas for an all-expense paid five-day trip. Called the Snowball Express, this year is the 10th year for the annual trip.
American Airlines will transport the participants to Texas from 84 cites around the world. Nearly 1,000 American Airlines volunteers will help the event run smoothly.
While in Texas, the group will visit the Walk of Gratitude, which honors the sacrifices that the families and fallen heroes made. They will spend an evening watching the jousting show at Medieval Times, and they will also visit the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History. Finally, the families will be treated to a concert by Academy Award Nominated actor Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band.
