In week two of The Bachelorette 2016, Joelle JoJo Fletcher went out on group dates with the men. One group went through firefighter training and had their chance to show what they are made of.
There were three dates. Two group dates and a one-on-one date. There was a group of ten men who went to a firefighters’ training facility. The theory was that JoJo wanted someone who could take care of her in an emergency. Grant is actually a real firefighter, so he was a real competitor in this exercise. The top three guys who did the best were able to spend more time with her.
Wells looked like he was going to faint. The guys were chopping wood and doing other activities with 80 pounds of gear. JoJo went to talk to him, because she felt bad.
“Oddly enough me almost dying got me some extra time with her,” he had. Back at the resort, the other guys were singing songs about Jo Jo in unison. All were singing except for Chad, who said the other guys looked like high school boys.
Grant the Real Firefighter and JoJo
Luke, Grant, and Wells were one of the three chosen to compete in a race to get more time with JoJo. Luke was actually ahead of Grant, the real firefighter! Grant pulled ahead and got the extra time with Jo Jo.
Derek, a 29-year-old commercial banker from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida got the one-on-one date. JoJo pulled Wells aside so she could talk to him again. She loved his spirit and that he didn’t give up although he almost passed out.
Wells got the rose on the group date. JoJo said that he really stood out to her.
JoJo then took Derek on his one-on-one date. They took a private place to San Francisco and went to the Golden Gate bridge where they had a romantic picnic on a bank near the bridge.
The second group of Men Competed for the Rose
The second group of men competed on SportsNation for time with JoJo.They finished a lot of funny antics, like spinning around and around. During a question and answer session, Chad said that all of the other guys were there for the wrong reason, because he didn’t know her. The other guys who said that they like her, he said were not being honest, because they really didn’t know her. The other bachelors were angry that he called them out. He said that they were all lying to JoJo, because they talked about the things that they love about her when they didn’t really know her. He also said that JoJo was naggy, but she seemed to appreciate his honesty. The hosts of sports nation then ranked the guys.
3. Alex
2. Chad
1. James
James performed a song, and everyone agreed that he was talented and Max Kellerman and Marcellus Wiley liked his personality.
Chad said that most of the guys were like kids, and JoJo wanted a man. JoJo said that she believed that Chad was over compensating for something, but she didn’t know what. When they had some alone time, Chad mentioned that he had a Yorkie that was handed down from his mother. Then he mentioned that mother had died six months earlier. James got the rose for the SportsNation group date.
Alex was talking to JoJo and Chad cut in. Alex was upset because he only had a little time with JoJo. Chad was making enemies out of all of the guys in the house.
“Chad’s actions are disrespectful to everyone in the house said Bachelor Superfan, James S. said.
Then Chad again and interrupted Evan, the erectile dysfunction specialist. Alex went and confronted Chad. He basically told him to stop cutting the other men off when they tried to talk to her. They had an argument and Alex assured Chad that he was not afraid of him, but Chad told Alex that he should be afraid.
To make matters rose, JoJo gave Chad the final rose.
